On 1st March we raised £242 towards our project from a raffle held at Katie Heron's Minginish Quiz Night, and from some of the takings from the evening kindly donated by Katie. Thank you to all who gave raffle prizes! All monies collected from fundraising, grants and the just giving page are paid to Minginish Community Hall, who are managing our accounts.

On 20 April 2024 we held a tabletop sale at Minginish community hall from 11am - 2pm:

We had a very successful day and raised £550 from food and table sales and donations. Thank you mòran taing  to all who participated!

On 18 May 2024 we held a no cash involved plant swap at Minginish community hall. There were tables for plants, seeds, pots and garden equipment and was well attended by the community. Refreshments were provided (thank you to those who baked xx) and we enlisted two of our experienced local gardeners to answer questions about growing. We also started a volunteer list and a collection of ideas for future events.

This event is the forerunner of future events we intend to hold: it is an opportunity to bring the community together for a strùpag, blether and swapping of experience. We managed to raise over £180 from donations thanks to the generosity of all those attending. Any plants left over were donated to Carbost community shop for people to take if desired, and any equipment remaining has been stored for further use! Mòran taing!

From mid June we are planning a plant and produce swap on a Saturday morning at the Carbost Community shop - more details to follow...

On 29 June 2024  we held an afternoon tea and tunes with The Fiscavaig Stravaigers (an eclectic band of local musicians playing a mixture of trads and covers   )from 2-4 pm at the Minginish Community Hall with some plant and produce stalls Entry and afternoon tea was by donation and again we managed to raise over £180 due to the generosity of our community ❤️

On 20 July, one of our local supporters held a bake sale at our local Bread Lab. This was very successful and raised over £130 for our project. Thank you to Marie and Marcella!

We also held another  Brunch and Buy preloved table top sale on 16 November, as this event proved to be popular with the community, and we managed to raise over £200.

The organisers of the 2025 New Year ceilidh at Minginish Community Hall kindly agreed that Growing Minginish could run the raffle. Big Prizes to be had!! We collected raffle prizes donated by our very generous and supportive community businesses, and were then very kindly offered the entire proceeds of the ceilidh by the Minginish Centenary Project

(please see our supporters page).

It was an excellent evening and a great way to bring in the new year! We made in the region of £600 towards our project.
