Below is the proposed site plan for the polytunnel. This has now been submitted for planning approval and if successful, the first phase of our project will be to establish the polytunnel on site.

Phases two and three of the project will be to develop an outside seating area, sensory garden and children's play area in the sheltered space behind the hall.
We have some fundraising activities planned (see fundraising page) and have now set up a justgiving donation page: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/growing-minginish-24?utm_term=rKQ62bVxK
In September 2024 we learnt that our planning application had been successful and that funding is now in place to enable us to start to build our polytunnel (please see our supporters page for our funders) Updates to follow!!!
November '24 - winter is well and truly upon as and we think that it will most likely be spring before the ground works for the polytunnel will be underway. But Spring starts in February, right??? Once the ground is prepared and the polytunnel is underway we will be combining forces with the Minginish Centenary Project (see their website on our supporters page) for landscaping and creating disabled access for both projects. This will hopefully make an attractive and informative area at the Minginish Community Hall for visitors.
February '25 -
- Thanks to our various funders (see our supporters page) and fundraising efforts, we now have the finances in place to commence work on the project.
- We have put out a plea to the community for help removing the existing swings at the community hall before the groundworks start.
- We are hoping that the groundworks will commence in the spring and the polytunnel build will follow thereafter.
- Once the polytunnel is built we will be liaising with the Minginish Centenary project to facilitate disabled access to both the polytunnel and the memorial cairn, and to landscape the area.
- The plan is for groundworks for the polytunnel and the seating and play area will go ahead at the same time to enable us to develop the area behind the hall and install the play equipment.
